Bio

I am originally from the Midwest having mostly grown up in Cincinnati and am certainly a Midwesterner at heart.  My wife and I have found the people and culture of Indy so welcoming and warm and the city is so easily livable. I completed a Med/Peds residency at IU and enjoyed all the academic benefits IU has to offer as well making it easy to want to stay for Hem/Onc Fellowship. I am interested in solid oncology and to this point have developed interest in sarcoma and AYA oncology, which I look forward to exploring more during fellowship. I am also extremely interested in the intersection of spirituality and medicine as well as the specific impacts of religion on medical practice. Outside of the hospital and clinic I enjoy running, biking, gardening, and spending time with my wife, Holly, and our dog, Charley. My wife leads a group for physician’s wives in Indianapolis called Side by Side, and we are also involved in our church. Both of these have created incredible places of belonging for us here in Indianapolis. We are so excited that you are considering IU for fellowship, and I am always open and available for discussing any questions you may have.
