Bio
Dr. Smith earned her MD at Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP), followed by a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Indiana University. During her residency, Dr. Smith co-authored a pivotal review on the "Outbreak of Synthetic Cannabinoid-Associated Coagulopathy in Illinois," published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr Smith's focus is on the management of lung transplant and ECMO patients. She is currently the interim Medical Director of Lung Transplant.
