Dr. Sharp's dissertation is titled "A Dramaturgical Analysis of Black Women Graduate Students’ Use of Social Media as a Space for Reclamation, Resistance, and Healing." Relatedly, Sharp’s research interests include promoting culturally engaging teaching in clinical environments, exploring the experiences of underrepresented students in medicine - specifically Black women and Latinas, and enhancing access and allyship for Black birthing people. She's also conducted research on social media use, retention initiatives, success for underserved populations, and Black health equity.
