Bio

Dr. Allison Kaderabek grew up in Carmel, Indiana and attended Indiana University for undergraduate education in biology and Spanish literature. She did a 1 year pre-professional masters program in biology at Purdue University Indianapolis. She completed her medical education at Indiana University School of Medicine and graduated in 2014. She relocated to Savannah, Georgia to complete residency training in Internal Medicine at Memorial Health University Medical Center. She returned to Bloomington, Indiana starting as a hospitalist in 2018. She is board-certified in internal medicine. Since starting her professional career, she has been very active in undergraduate medical education with both preclinical and clinical students. She has taught courses such as Foundations of Clinical Practice for MS2s and third-year IM clerkship. She has given several lectures in GI, endocrinology, and other varied topics for second year medical students. In the past year, she has begun teaching health system science years 1 and 2. Since 2021, she has acted as site director for the Internal Medicine clerkship on Bloomington campus. In 2024, she received the Outstanding Faculty for Phase 2/3 Award from her Bloomington peers and students. She eagerly signed on as core faculty and inpatient director for the upcoming internal medicine residency program. In her spare time, Allison enjoys hot yoga and Pilates, hiking, volunteering in several animal rescue groups, fostering dogs and cats of all ages, reading, listening to podcasts, and drawing. She looks forward to building the inpatient teaching service and guiding future residents in becoming excellent, well-rounded physicians.
