Bio
I serve as the inpatient attending Pediatric Endocrinologist 8 weeks out of every year. During this time, I am directly responsible for the care of children admitted to the wards of Riley Hospital for diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, and various endocrine conditions. I also provide consultation to other services with the Department of Pediatrics on diabetes, glucose intolerance, and general endocrine disorders. During this same period, I am on call in regular working areas, answering calls from residents, covering the inpatient residents in the emergency room, and fielding calls from physicians throughout the state wanting to refer a patient or consult on management of a patient. I staff 4 ½ half day Pediatric Endocrine clinics every week at Riley or satellites. I also staff 14 clinics at our satellite clinic at Saint Joseph Hospital in South Bend, IN, and 42 clinics at our satellite clinic in Evansville Indiana , I am involved in the teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students, staffing their clinics and medical services.
