Bio

Dr. Walker recieved his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Indiana University in 1988.  He graduated from the IU School of Medicine in 1992 and completed a residency in anesthesiology at the Indiana University Medical Center in 1996.  He followed this with a one-year fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology, which included a one-month clerkship in pediatric cardiac anesthesiology at Boston Children's Hospital.  He has been practicing pediatric anesthesiology at Riley Hospital for Children since 1997.  He is the former program director of the pediatric anesthesiology fellowship, and served as president of the Pediatric Anesthesia Program Director's Association from 2011 to 2013.  He was the Director of the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology at Riley Hospital from 2011 to 2016.  He has served on the Board of Directors of the Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia Society (CCAS) and was program chair for the CCAS Annual Meeting in 2017.  His primary focus is congenital cardiac anesthesia, and he currently serves as Director of Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia at Riley.
