Koren Utley is the new Executive Secretary to Department of Medicine Chair David Aronoff.
Utley accepted the role earlier this month, and her first day of work will be Feb. 19. She will assume the role from Bernetta Hartman, who will depart the Department of Medicine in the Spring after 20 dedicated years of service.
Utley has more than 25 years of experience in office administration and management. She prides herself on being a motivational leader with strong problem-solving skills, who is dedicated to promoting collaboration and encouraging improvements.
“What keeps me motivated is the desire to learn new things, and the impact of my work and how it contributes to the growth of my team,” she said.
In her free time, Utley enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures. She hopes to one day visit Thailand, Bali and South Africa.
She is an avid writer and is currently working to complete her second book. She also enjoys singing.
