Registration is now open for the Inaugural MIRI Biennial, hosted by the Medical Imaging Research Institute at the Indiana University School of Medicine. The one-day conference is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6, and will highlight the latest research and developments in interventional MRI imaging research. It will also highlight where imaging research scientists collaborate, train, test and develop next generation MRI-guided interventions.
The conference is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Joseph E. Walther Hall, Suite C203, 980 W. Walnut St., Indianapolis.
This event is geared toward interventional medicine professionals who are interested in MR-guided therapies, including radiologists, interventional specialists in neurology and cardiovascular medicine, biomedical engineers and imaging technology specialists, as well as industry professionals involved in developing and using interventional tools. Trainees are also welcome.
Orlando Simonetti, PhD, professor of radiology and internal medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and David Woodrum, MD, PhD, interventional radiologist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., will both present a keynote address. A live case is also planned in the updated iMRI suite, where attendees can observe remotely. More speakers and event details will be released closer to the event.
The conference will include three sessions:
- Session I: Technical Innovations in Interventional MRI
- Session II: Live Case
- Session III: Clinical Translation and Advances in Interventional MRI
Breakfast and lunch are included. Registration is open until Oct. 21, 2026.
