Women in Medicine Month: Resources for and about women in the medical community

A participant in the Summer Research Program prepares for a career in the medical sciences

Indiana University School of Medicine Faculty Affairs and Professional Development informally joins the American Medical Association (AMA) in celebration of Women in Medicine Month. This September, we acknowledge, celebrate and honor the significant contributions female physicians, researchers and health care professionals make to the advancement of medicine and health care.

Thanks to the many incredible women whose focus, determination, commitment, professionalism, leadership, grit and bravery have shattered glass ceilings and broken barriers for generations, women continually push the boundaries of careers in medicine, leading the way for others to follow.

Women in Medicine Month is an opportunity to bring this important cause to the forefront each year, spark conversations and celebrate the women among us who are changing lives every day. Here, Faculty Affairs and Professional Development offers select resources curated to support and empower women in medicine.
