Indiana University School of Medicine’s Megan S. McHenry, MD, MS, was recently invited to attend the 2023 National Academy of Medicine’s Emerging Leaders Forum from April 18-19 in Washington, D.C.
The invitation-only forum is an annual assembly of outstanding early- and mid-career professionals with exceptional professional promise, achievement and leadership in biomedical science, health, health care and related fields. It provides a platform for scholars and National Academy of Medicine members to come together and identify novel approaches to shared challenges in health and medicine and spark transformative change across fields.
McHenry, an associate professor of pediatrics at IU School of Medicine, was nominated to attend the Emerging Leaders Forum by D. Wade Clapp, MD, Distinguished Professor and chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the school, who also attended the forum.
“I was so honored to be nominated and invited to the forum,” McHenry said. “I really enjoyed hearing about the exciting work happening across disciplines and engaging with the many accomplished and interesting people who attended. I left the forum feeling very inspired and driven to move my work forward.”
